Bracketology… Lebanese Election Style

bracketologyThis may be even too nerdy for the likes of qifanabki.com readers, but I trust not.

Via Richard Chambers, the indomitable chief of IFES in Lebanon, I give you the ultimate pre-election prognostication wallchart: print it, fill it out at your leisure, and don’t forget to keep us informed about how well you did.

  2. Qifa, my man, this seems to put the Lebanese election on the same plane and the American college basketball bracket. Tell you what, I’ll bet a round of beers, an order of nachos, two curly fries and a wink at the cute waitress if my team… Yup, we might as well call this “June madness” cuz those Persian Cats have an election on the 12, and it’s heatin’ up too.

Inshallah I will be in Lubnon soon enough to write that Surf travel story. How bout now, any surf to be seen from your high rise building? I might be sitting on my hands for a while, but I swear I’ve seen surf in Beirut.

  3. Too geeky by half! Didn’t you already determine the result? Why does the placement of the odd electoral comma matter?

Look forward to your what-does-it-mean post.

  4. AG,
Take it from me, there is no surf in the whole of Lebanon. Im an Aussie living in Jounieh bay, if there was a slight swell, id be the first in. Good thing for the bikinis and mexican beer though, makes up for it. 🙂

  5. Wow this is SUCH a Lebanese way to treat the elections. Everyone knows what happens when it’s time for the FIFA World Cup or the Euro Cup. Maybe the direction is being reversed?
