The Pre-Trial Judge of the the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) has approved the lifting of confidentiality on “the full names and aliases, biographical information, photographs and charges against the individuals named in the indictment, confirmed on 28 June.”

As previously reported in the press, the four individuals’ names are below (click the links for more information).

  1. Salim Jamil Ayyash
  2. Mustafa Amine Badreddine
  3. Hussein Hasan Oneissi
  4. Assad Hassan Sabra

Well gee, now that we know where they all live, maybe Mr. Miqati can send a nice policeman over and invite the fellas downtown to answer a few questions.

  1. What a bizarre turn of events. And isn’t this some violation of civil liberties, or some such thing?

  2. No, there’s no violation or any such thing.

  3. I wonder of Hezbollah will parade these men and challenge the government to arrest them. Or, are they already in Tehran?

  4. Gabriel;

You mean the indicted alleged criminals should be kept secret? What violations are you talking about?

Yup; I’d like to see the “Savior” of Lebanon & the honorable PM who promised to cooperate with STL: Miqati & send the ISF and LAF to venture into the abode of Nassrallah and knock on his door serving him the warrants and demanding to arrest these “saints’ (as phrased by the Supreme leader…)

  5. Danny,

No, I have no problem with releasing their names and pictures.

But I hardly think it was necessary to provide a Bio. To publish the names of parents, etc. Or for that matter their addresses (not that the addresses make a difference either way).

  6. AIG,

They are the safest in Lebanon. Who would dare challenge the retort of Nassrallah that any government could not arrest them for 300 years. We are waiting for the brave crack commando spybusters of ISF and commandos of LAF to venture out…

Gabriel; as far as it does not contravene the rules and prodedures agreed upon by Lebanese and International court…What’s the point? they are indicted as suspects in a heinous crime. To specify and distinctly identify the indicted I see to problem in naming their parents names and or place of residences. They are hoping they get a tip and inform the courageous lads of the LAF to go arrest them.

  7. I see no violation of anything. Since when is a “wanted poster” a violation of anything?

I’m betting these guys are long out of Lebanon…Probably in Syria or Iran not unlike many before em, who always surfaced in places like that (Mughnieh, Abu Nidal, etc).

  8. Additional exclusive (!) information only available on QN:

The one on the upper left, used to spin the Shawarma wheels at Barbar before getting employed by the resistance … and the one on the upper right used to work at Paris Mode, selling Pierre Cardin outfits (no ties!) to visiting Iranians.

Still working on the lower two.

  9. this is odd. how did they calculate the figure 231? is it all for the hariri bomb, or are there other (attempted) attacks counted, and if so, which ones?

“Attempted Intentional Homicide (of 231 persons in addition to the Intentional Homicide of Rafik HARIRI) with premeditation by using explosive materials.”

  11. How long before SHN will crack a Abou’l Abed and Abou’l Steph joke on TV to please the Christian Lebanese masses?

Let’s hope GMA doesn’t read this blog and won’t kill the idea with a sordid attempt and his try at a smile.

  12. AIG,

As a self proclaimed “Jewish” Atheist … what rights do you feel you have over “Muslim” Atheists whose families have actually lived and tended to the lands in “your” Israel, for eons ?

What justifies de-placing these people to you ?

  13. @#9

Best guess is that “231 persons” refers to those wounded in the attack.
